As many of you are probably aware, on March 9, 2020, Dr. Sara Cody, Health Officer for Santa Clara County, issued an Order imposing a moratorium on all mass gathering in Santa Clara County of 1,000 or more persons due to COVID-19. This Order took effect at 12:00 a.m. on March 11 with the goal of preventing the spread of this serious disease. Along with this mandated order, the SCC Department of Public Health is also urging the canceling and postponing of other community events and gatherings where large numbers of people are within arm’s length of one another.
In light of the seriousness of COVID-19 and in an effort to help ensure the health and safety of our local communities, Alum Rock Counseling Center has made the decision to postpone our Annual Fundraising Luncheon, which was originally scheduled for Friday, March 27th. We are currently exploring alternate dates in May and June and will provide more details as they become available.
The Order, the new guidance, and other informational materials regarding COVID-19 are posted on the Public Health Department’s website at www.sccphd.org/coronavirus. We, at ARCC, encourage you to review this new guidance to keep yourselves and our communities safe.
As ARCC takes these necessary steps to keep our communities healthy, we hope we can count on your financial support to keep us healthy too.
